About Us

Welcome to Sun Valley Magnet School. We are a full school magnet with three separate middle school magnet centers. Our overarching focus for the three academies is STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics). Students will get extra courses in science and math as a foundation to their eventual learning in more specialized classes.

We also have a small 9-12 grade high school as part of our Biomedical Sciences, Engineering and Leadership Academy. The key to our high school success is personalization, mentoring, strong academics, and tons of support systems to ensure that they all graduate on time and are accepted into the college or trade school of their choice. Students in this magnet select a career pathway in engineering or biomedical science and take four years of classes in their specialization.

Our success is based on our belief that school should be a place where students develop a passion for learning and a curiosity to always seek to learn more. While we want all students to be highly literate in math and English, school should be more than just about reading, writing, and math. School should inspire students to develop a high level of creativity and innovation, sparked by their passion and curiosity. Most important to us, beyond the academics and specializations, is a desire to help students truly realize that they can accomplish anything that they desire so long as they want it, believe it, and work hard for it! Success comes from hard work, faith in oneself, and continuous striving towards self-betterment.
